- Spectrum.integrate(start=None, end=None, method='simps')[source]#
Compute the integrated value between
start
andend
.- Parameters:
start (float, optional) – Lower wavelength bound. If not specified (default),
min(self.wave)
is used.end (float, optional) – Upper wavelength bound. If not specified (default),
max(self.wave)
is used.method ({'simps', 'trapz'}, optional) – Numerical integration method. ‘simps’ (default) is better for smooth data while ‘trapz’ is better for linear data.

result – Integral as approximated by
interp_method
