Pupil.fit_tilt(inplace=False)#

Fit and remove tilt from Plane opd via least squares. The equivalent angular tilt is bookkept in Plane tilt.

Parameters:: inplace (bool, optional) – Modify the original object in place (True) or create a copy (False, default).
Return type:: Plane

Notes

When tilt is removed, the returned Plane is frozen with the tilt-removed opd cached in place of the computed value. Calling thaw() on a Plane whose opd is computed by an overloaded __opd__ reintroduces the fitted tilt and is not recommended.
